Family Christmas Pictures

Technically these are the first family photos we have had since Corbin was in the family. I saw technically because our last family photos I was 5 months pregnant with him. We just ran over to Walmart thinking that it would be quick easy and cheap for Christmas cards. WRONG !!.. I will never go there again. She didn't try very hard to get Corbin smile, he really does have those cute dimples just like Ryk and Cheap Wrong again. They were not cheap at all. They take almost two weeks for you to get them back and all in all I would not go there again. The only good thing is I have the rights to my pics so I can post them and print them.

It's About Time

So it has obviously been a while since I have posted anything. I'm not going to lie and saw I have been busy and things are to crazy in my life because, well anyone who knows me knows I usually have plenty of time on my hands while sitting at work in the middle of the night while the rest of the world is sleeping. I have just been slacking. Part of the problem is my camera broke so I have no pics to post and I like posting pics when I write updates. We have a camera and pics it is just a 35mm camera and I have not developed my pis.
The last few months we have not done much except work and do the normal day to day things. I will just post about a few highlights and updates. This year for the holidays we just kept it simple. For Halloween we took the kids up to This IS The Place monument. They had train rides, pony rides, hay rides, trick-or-treating, storytelling and many other activities. Ryker surprisingly enjoyed it more then I thought he would, Corbin was a little grouchy but that comes with his age. Their costumes were simple I just bought t-shirts that looked like costumes and added to them. Ryk was a pirate and Corbin was a cowboy. For Thanksgiving we both had to work so in between that we went to my parents for dinner with my family.
Ryker is almost 3 1/2 now and growing up very fast I can't believe it. He loves to play mario cart and well lets just say he would rather do that all day then anything else. He does enjoy his cousins and grandparents and loves to play outside if he can. he still has his frog he takes everywhere and now we have added a blanket he likes to take around. He is still very much a mommy's and Grandpa's boy. A couple of months ago he fell off of a fence and they thought he broke his elbow. Luckily everything is fine and he just had some swelling. Ryker loves his brother most of the time and he still makes a clicking noise for his name. If you haven't heard it it is very funny. Hey at least Corbin responds to him.
Corbin will be turning 2 in Feb. and is starting to act his age if you know what I mean. He loves being with his brother and loves to do anything he does. Unlike Ryk he is very much a daddy and Grandma's boy. He is very hyper and I think if we let him he would never sit still. Recently we have found out that he has allergies to nuts which is not very fun. His body seems to finally be catching up to his huge head and luckily it is looking good. Unfortunately his belly button is not fixing itself and he has until he 2nd birthday and then we have to go and see the surgeon. IT looks really good compared to when he was first born but has still not gone all the way in. Hopefully it will all be ok.
Mark and me pretty much spend most of our time with the kids and working. We are still the nursery leaders for now. mark just got called to the 1st counselor in the young men's so that is exciting for him.
Hopefully I did not bore you I know this was long but it has been awhile.

WHAT'S FOR DINNER ?

About a month ago we started using a website that takes the work out of planning your meals. It is $5 a month but once you sign up all your meals are planned for you. It takes a lot of work out of planning and writing list and grocery shopping. it gives the the recipes and everything you need for the meal. It even prints out a grocery list for you divided into sections of the store. The grocery list is easy to use and marks what meal you need each item for in case there is a meal that week you don't want you can just cross it off the list. There are several different type of meals from low to fat, cheap and even low carb. We have been using the low carb meal plan and have found some great recipes that I will use over and over. If you want someone to plan good meals for you this is the solution. All I ask is that you put me down as a reference when you sign up. IF interested just follow the link below.

THE BIG 3

Today Ryker turned 3. I can't believe he is getting so big. It seems just like yesterday he wasn't even here and yet I can't remember life without him. He is such a fun kid to be around. Yes at times he and his little brother can get out of hand and a little hyper. He is becoming so mature and learning so many things everyday. We love having him in our house and I know his little brother loves him and looks up to him. I don't know what life would be without him. Today we took him and all of my nieces and nephews do classic skating for fun activities. They all had a lot of fun. Later in the week we will be having cake and ice cream with grandma and grandpa. HAPPY BIRTHDAY
RYKER !!!!

Tiny Tim

A couple of days ago the Disney Christmas Carol Train was up in Ogden so my mom and Sister took all the grand kids to see it. Unfortunately I chose to stay home so I could get some sleep. Imagine that wanting to get some sleep for one day. Anyway they waited in line for 2 hours with the kids to see the train. They said all the children were good including mine. I'm pretty sure they must of had some other kids with them because my kids standing in line for 2 hours being good just couldn't happen. One of the activities they did was take their faces and made them into tiny Tim. SO here are the results.

FREE FISHING

This last weekend was free fishing day all over the state of Utah. We love being outdoors and want to be more active and teach our kids to be more active, so Mark is always looking for things to do. HE found out that Utah Lake was having a free festival with games, booths, food, fishing, and boat rides so we took the kids. It was a lot of fun and the kids absolutely loved it. Ryker loved fishing so much we are going to get all of us fishing poles so we can go more often. He was so mad and upset when we gave the fishing supplies back because he wanted to keep fishing. Corbin just wanted to keep climbing in the water to play with the fish. It was a lot of fun and but me being and paranoid mom will feel much better if next time we get near a lot of water we have life jackets on the kids ( the leash on Corbin wasn't enough for me). This weekend we are venturing to snowbird for fun activities. Look for the post and pics of that adventure.

WERE BACK

So back in January one of the boys broke our internet card for the laptop so we havn't been able to keep the blog updated. Since then A lot has happened. The big #0 birthday in our house and the big 1 year old birthday. Corbin got his first haircut. I (for those of you who know me hold your breath) yes I let Ryker shoot his first gun. We survived our first trip the the emergency room. Found out those boys had some medical problems. I finally switched sides of the room at work and after 8 years I am now dispatching for the police instead of fire. I think that is it in a nutshell. Hopefully I will get some more time to post pics and go into a little more detail on some of these. For now I'm off to a Dr. appointment to hopefully start a new weightloss program. Wish me luck and I will keep you updated.
